Scene
The Roxy is a spacious night club with plenty of room made especially for those who like to move and groove on the dance floor. But, if you aren't the dancing type you can easily have a good time hanging out at the bar or relaxing on the numerous couches and chairs. The high tech sound system keeps the club alive and bumpin’. Music varies daily from techno on Fridays, reggae and swing during weekdays. The Roxy is a very unique and exciting venue where you can find Chippendale dancers one night, club music on Roxy Fridays, and a one of a kind atmosphere on EPIC Saturdays, providing many types of entertainment for every type of personalities.

Eats & Drinks
The Roxy has one enormous main bar and two side bars, as well as a large VIP section with plenty of tables and a private dance floor. In a nutshell, there is no way that you will be thirsty or sober. Their margaritas have been referred to as a “potent beer mug of tequila.” Mix this with the high energy level of the dance floor, and you’re ensuring a night of fun and rowdy behavior.

Ambience
The Roxy is a club definitely made for people who like to get their groove on; there is a gigantic dance floor and a few smaller private ones located throughout the establishment. The purple and gold accented décor with flashes of baby blue, hot pink, and white coming from the lighting system gives even the most timid dancer the energy, confidence, and the drive to get on the dance floor and let everything go. If the aesthetically pleasing lighting display and high tech sound system still does not get your booty shaking then The Roxy has plenty of tables both Private/VIP tables where you can receive bottle service and get your drink on.

Celebrities
The Roxy has had the pleasure of hosting some of the best DJs and has catered to well-known celebrities including MSTRKRFT and Paris Hilton.

I like The Roxy because...

Kyle D. Medford, MA 4 star rating. Let's start at the beginning. The line moved quickly, the staff were your usual callous and gruff riff-raff,but didn't give me any trouble for wearing leather fingerless gloves.(I say that, cause I had before). The decor is something else.Beach-themed,if I had to pick something. That's neither here nor there to me,though. The layout, however,is.It's very spacious inside, with several couches, chairs, and counters to hang about so if you don't want to be shoulder to shoulder with sweaty, bouncing, music lovers on the dance floor, you don't have to be.If you must know,I prefer the former.Put me in the mix cause I need a fix.The sound quality was top notch, and there were several screens oriented all around the dance floor for omnipresent visual stimulation. This is important to people like me.

Great Venue/Night Club!!! I've seen several shows here through out the last couple of years. STS9 and Yonder Mountain String Band. I believe it's the music that you see that makes the night. The drinks are pricey, but most nightclubs the drinks are expensive unless you know the staff. As for the inside, beautiful interior, and a pretty good layout as far as acoustics are concerned. I've always had an amazing time here!

Lisa S, Winthrop,MA 4-star rating.Let me preface this entire review with the fact that I don't really go out to clubs unless there's a DJ playing that I really want to see. With that said, I really had a great time at the Roxy. I liked the layout and that I appreciated that there were places where you could just chill(i.e.upstairs on the balcony)and still get a fantastic view of the stage. The dance floor was packed and I didn't bother to venture out because I had all the space I wanted/needed upstairs. Reading the other reviews,I gather that this place is very different on a regular night versus a night that a big name DJ is playing. It was packed, but I didn't feel crushed like I have at other clubs like Pacha(NYC and Buenos Aires). Most of the people who were there that night were also big fans cause a lot of people knew the songs. It made it a great atmosphere. The door was a bit disorganized, but we had advance tickets and got in without too much hassle.

Ben R. Lexington, MA 4-star rating.Unlike Avalon, you won't be packed in like a sardine here. The Roxy hits the spot. and it actually plays techno, which is what clubs should play. If you want to see rock go to one of the 100,000+ Boston bars that host "indie" shows. Sometimes rock acts do pollute this place, but that's rare. Roxy hosts some great hip-hop acts as well as techno. I saw Eyedea and Abilities here. I would have seen Atmosphere but I was feeling a little under the weather. Which brings me to my last point. The Roxy bartenders or bartendresses do not skimp when it comes to drinks. Be forewarned! They load the drinks up here, which is great because you get more for your money. However, lightweights should be cautious. Come here for an awesome night.
