A friendly and homey bar in theme-bar-hell that is The Alley, Bishop’s can feel cozy even when it’s mobbed. In the summer, there’s an even greater chance of crowds. When the sky clears and the patio opens, the hoards really do descend on the Alley, but it’s easy to see why. The air is clean and warm and the drinks flow freely.You are warned - beware of Bishop’s mood. If you are a college-jam-rock fan and see your favorite new college-jam-rock band there, don’t be surprised if they have an R&B band there the next night, or a girl folk singer, or a comedian. Bishop’s books them all, so call ahead if you’re picky.
