
Everyone knows that summer is the season for outdoor gatherings, specifically BBQ’s. We usually retire the bag of charcoal after our tummies are full of hotdogs and burgers, but lately, we have been reconsidering if the art of grilling really should only be limited for our carnivorous taste-buds. Welcome to 2009, where all food groups are taking the backseat and fruit (yes, FRUIT) is what is on the menu! Fried strawberries, bananas, pineapples, peaches and mango are just some of the options we have. The heat helps to caramelize the sugars in the fruit, which is not only tasty, but also healthy. Sigh. Finally, a dieter’s all natural dream come true! These all natural treats are also tasty on any desert, don’t think twice about frying up some banana and adding it to ice-cream for an after dinner delight!
